Negative stress makes our immune system weak, drives us to depression and mental ailments and results in heart diseases. For heart health, mange stress through the following tips,

• Avoid overburdening

It is imperative to work for a living but overdoing the same can result in severe stress related complications. Reduce the burden of overload and avoid accepting more work that exceeds your capacity.

• Find time for working out

Despite your hectic work schedule, it is essential to find at least thirty minutes to indulge in a favorite sport, jog, walk or work out in a gym. Exercise regimen can be ideal for stress management and can help you stay fit, which is necessary for heart care.

• Rest amply

After a full day’s work, your body needs to unwind completely, which requires you to rest sufficiently. Try to get six to eight hours of sleep, everyday. Inadequate rest or sleep can contribute to more stress.

• Indulge in a pastime

Allot a few hours everyday to indulge in a hobby or leisure activity like playing a sport, dancing or reading to keep yourself relaxed.

• Abstain from smoking and drinking

While being stressed out, people opt for drinking and smoking as relaxation techniques. This eventually worsens their body condition and makes them even more susceptible to heart diseases.

• Try aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is considered to be another way for countering negative stress and for relaxing body and mind. Chamomile and lavender essential oils tend to create a soothing effect and refresh your body.

• Support group

Find a few like-minded individuals including professionals who form your support group, to seek advice and to follow effective stress management techniques that help in heart care.
