The human mind is motivated by the things which you imagine as well as by things which are real. In fact perhaps everything which goes on in our minds is in fact imagined; after all what is registered by your mind is in fact your interpretation of sensory input. You see and hear, feel and taste things which you come into contact with and then your mind makes sense of it. In this way you create your own reality.
This is why you and I can be witness to the same event and yet remember it in entirely different ways. We are all aware of this fact to some degree or another, but many are not fully aware of the massive impact of one's beliefs and expectations upon current and future experiences. More often than not we see what we expect to see and hear what we expect to hear. Sometimes we do not see or hear what is going on around us at all; we can quite literally turn a blind eye or a deaf ear upon our surroundings.
The human mind frequently drifts into a "day-dreaming" mode. As a child you will no doubt remember gazing out of a classroom window as your mind eagerly visualized what you were going to do when you escaped from the confines of school. In such a case the mind is not present within the room and neither is it seeing what is just outside of the window. This child's mind has drifted off to another place and another time entirely. This is not just the tendency of a child's mind; it is a natural tendency of human beings of any age.
The impact of one's day dreams is massive. Those dreams which you dismiss as just a whim or a bit of trivial nonsense actually have the power to motivate you to do amazing feats. To day dream is an essential part of the psychology of achievement. Whatever you imagine you can in fact create. This is another way in which you create your reality. The more you think about something the sooner it becomes reality.
The quality of your thoughts and dreams will impact upon the speed with which you achieve them. By quality I mean the depth of emotion experienced when thinking about your goal and the vividness of visualizations and the clarity of the images which you create in your mind's eye. The more single minded you are the more effective you will be in pursuit of your dreams. If you create a burning desire to do something then you will almost certainly do it. In this way you can indeed make your dreams come true.
It is for these reasons that successful people use hypnosis. Hypnosis is a state of mind which naturally creates focus whilst at the same time it aligns your conscious and subconscious mind so that you are "single minded" in your thoughts and actions. Also, when in hypnosis your creative mind comes to the fore and you can more easily visualize clearly and vividly. You add great depth of emotion and clarity of vision when you choose to use hypnosis.
This is what speeds up your progress when in pursuit of dreams. Hypnosis opens your mind to new opportunities and helps you to find solutions to what may otherwise seem to be insurmountable problems. In learning to use hypnosis you learn how to harness far more of your minds power than before.
If you were flying a plane which had two engines, you wouldn't choose to only use one engine would you? If you wanted to boil some water would you turn the gas up high or leave it low? If you really want to make your dreams come true it's a lot easier when you use your subconscious mind as well as your conscious mind, your imagination as well as your analytical processes, your emotions as well as your logical abilities. Hypnosis is the state which allows you to do just this.
